In her own words, IT COULD HAPPEN

Image
We are currently running an online fundraising calendar campaign to continue our mission on Fundraising Through The Lens in Memory of April Lynn Hacker. We understand first hand the need to raise awareness and more importantly money for research and a ultimately a cure so we wanted to share something very special with you. Through the approval of April's parents we wanted to share with you her thoughts on Cystic Fibrosis.  If you are not familiar with her story t he following is a story written by April Hacker in 1997 when she was just 12.  It Could Happen: A Cure for Cystic Fibrosis By: April Hacker Cystic Fibrosis is the number one genetic disease that takes away the freedom of young people. " Hi," I'm April Hacker and I have Cystic Fibrosis. I shall be referring Cystic Fibrosis to CF. The doctors found out that I had CF when I was 8 months old. I had to take a sweat test. That's when the doctors measure the amount of salt in my sweat....

Thank you for your interest in our online fundraising campaign through IndieGoGo!  Trust us, this is no ordinary fundraising calendar. This calendar has the opportunity  to impact thousands of lives. We read a blog article in 2012 that said "use what you know," so in 2012 when our family was trying to find a unique way to raise money for our Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk Team in memory of my Sister-in-Law, April Lynn Hacker, we turned to my years of professional photography skills. April lost her life-long battle with Cystic Fibrosis in 2010 and was just days from her 25th birthday after having had 2 double lung transplants within a 3 month period. I was fortunate to have photographed her many times and was grateful that I was able to provide those invaluable memories to our family. We know first hand that when you lose someone the first thing you are thankful for are the memories and photographs. In a busy world, Clicks for a Cause services get people to donate...

Love, Dedication and Team work help Mary's Elephant win the Spirit of Relay Award! We were honored to be part of an amazing Relay for Life team called Mary's Elephants on June 21, 2014. Clicks for a Cause ran a fundraising photo booth and were taking event photos as there didn't seem to be an official photographer in sight to capture this touching event. I was personally on the team as the team captain is my best friend, Anita. I have blogged about her and her efforts to support those battling cancer and those who have survived cancer. As I documented the event with my camera I could see what a great united team Mary's Elephants was, they even won the Spirit of Relay Award!     The American Cancer Society describes the Spirit of Raley Award as ,   " Relay For Life Team & Individual Spirit Award!  Everyone that participates in Relay has TEAM spirit! However, some teams go the extra mile  when it comes to Relay. Will your group be crowned most ...

Image
Clicks for a Cause was proud to be a part of the Down & Dirty for CF Charity Softball Game this past Mother's Day. The event was hosted by 16 year old, Shalynn Schell, as part of her 2015 C.A.S.H. Senior Project and a fundraiser for her Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Walk Team ~ Heaven's Miracle.  We want to introduce you to Shalynn, a 16 year old student at C.A.S.H. and niece of Clicks for a Cause Founder, Wendy Hacker. She logged over 60 hours of community service while assisting at various Clicks for a Cause Fundraising Event in 2013 and 2014. While she was assisting us at a Clicks for a Cause Photo Booth Fundraiser in the fall of 2013 as part of her community service for her C.A.S.H. Senior Project we began tossing around some ideas for the other parts of her Senior Project the idea hit us. As you know we started our company based on the motto "use what you know" and Shalynn knows Softball. Shalynn and I brainstormed on how to put a twist on the game to ma...
